Role Overview

The employer is seeking an Architectural Engineer with hands-on experience in building construction projects.

The role manages and coordinates architectural works from drawings and technical documentation through site execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.
  • Supervise architectural works on site for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
  • Review material submittals, samples, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Monitor finishing works, including blockwork, plastering, flooring, ceilings, painting, doors, windows, and waterproofing.
  • Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues, discrepancies, and non-conformities.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical matters.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and approved materials.
  • Prepare and review RFIs, technical reports, inspection requests, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and support planned milestones.
  • Assist with as-built drawings and project handover documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
  • Strong site-based architectural engineering experience is required.
  • Proven experience in building construction and finishing works.
  • Good knowledge of architectural drawings, construction methods, materials, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Knowledge of Revit or BIM is an advantage.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Saudi Arabia or GCC building construction experience is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with commercial, residential, hotel, office, hospital, school, or other major building projects is preferred.

Workplace

  • The role includes regular site supervision and site inspections for building construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
