Key Purpose
· To prepare shops and architectural drawings.
Role & Responsibilities
· Prepare shop and architectural drawings and as built for all commercial / industrial construction activities – site surveys, structural, civil, electro-mechanical, plumbing, interior finishing etc.,
· Co-ordinate drawing reviews and updates with Site Engineers, sub-contractors and Consultants.
· Establish and maintain well-organized filing and retrieval system for all drawings.
Candidate Profile
- · Diploma or Certificate in Computerized Drafting (Auto Cad, Architectural Cad) from an accredited institution, supplement by on-going up-dating of AutoCAD releases (ie Auto Cad 2000, version 14)
- · Minimum of 5 – 7years of directly related experience in the preparation of construction drawings, preferably assigned directly to sites.
- · Sound knowledge of Plotter hardware and software.
- · Some basic knowledge of building code requirements an asset.
- Good communications and problem solving skills; ability to work well with site and office staff to achieve high quality results.
