Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts and design proposals in line with project requirements, client briefs, and design objectives.
• Produce architectural designs from concept through schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation stages.
• Prepare architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, details, and presentation materials.
• Develop design solutions considering functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, cost, and buildability.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Work with project managers, engineers, specialist consultants, and clients throughout the design process.
• Review and incorporate feedback from clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with UAE building codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
• Prepare design presentations, material palettes, drawings, and documentation for client and authority submissions.
• Review documentation produced by junior architects and CAD/BIM teams and provide design direction and technical guidance.
• Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and internal coordination meetings.
• Assist with design and technical issues and ensure deliverables meet required quality, scope, and programme.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 5–10+ years of professional architectural experience, preferably within an engineering and architectural consultancy.
• Proven experience working on large-scale architectural projects.
• Strong experience across concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender or construction documentation stages.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction techniques, and building systems.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, particularly structural and MEP consultants.
• Good knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority approval processes.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
• UAE consultancy experience is required.
