Apprentice Lineworker

Starting in February 2027, our 4-year apprenticeship program will provide the skills, experience and qualifications needed to become a qualified Line worker.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll:

Gain BIG skills through structured on-the-job training and study.

Learn from experienced field crews working across Hydro Tasmania's distribution network.

Assist with the construction, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground network assets.

Develop strong technical, safety and problem-solving skills.

Work outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions.

Build experience using industry-leading tools, equipment and technology.

Help deliver safe and reliable electricity to homes, businesses and communities across Flinders Island.
