Prepares detailed specifications of component level requirements that are fully traceable to system level requirements.
Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary, to understand basic root-cause of issues and propose possible solutions within current systems.
Researches and fact-finds to formulate and define systems scope and objectives, as well as modify moderately complex information systems.
Provides technical support and troubleshooting to end-users.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis activities, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.
Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills.
An understanding of software development lifecycle.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to receive work direction from direct and indirect leadership.
Proficiency using CASE tools for designing and implementing applications.
Experience working in an environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Two (2) years of experience in systems analysis/programming activities in a business environment is required.

This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
