Role summary
The Applicant Support Specialist is the primary point of contact for applicants in the application and verification process.
The role guides applicants, resolves inquiries and issues, and ensures cases are tracked and progressed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to applicant inquiries by phone, email, chat, or help desk.
- Guide applicants through required documents and submission steps.
- Review applications for completeness and flag missing or incorrect information.
- Track pending applications and follow up to prevent delays.
- Provide status updates and next steps throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate applicant interaction and case-status records.
- Escalate complex, disputed, or high-risk cases to Operations or Verification.
- Share recurring issue feedback to help improve processes.
- Support administrative or coordination tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and skills
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in customer support, applicant support, or a similar service-oriented role is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Candidates should explain procedures clearly and handle concerns with patience and professionalism.
