App Dev & Support Engineer III

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst with strong expertise in Brazil Pension Administration, including Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans, to support the continued evolution of our pension administration platform.

This role acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, Operations teams, Quality Assurance teams, and Development teams.

The System Analyst will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analyzing existing system capabilities, defining functional specifications, supporting testing activities, and ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into implementable solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep pension administration domain knowledge with strong analytical skills and an understanding of modern software delivery practices.

• Analyze and understand pension administration business processes and regulatory requirements.
• Gather requirements from Product Owners, business stakeholders, operations teams, and subject matter experts.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and system requirements.
• Perform gap analysis between current system capabilities and business needs.
• Define business rules, validation rules, workflows, calculations, and system behaviors.
• Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, testable, and aligned with business objectives.

• Act as the functional SME for Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans.
• Support analysis of:
• Participant enrollment processes
• Contribution management
• Benefit calculations
• Eligibility rules
• Plan administration
• Beneficiary management
• Retirement processing
• Regulatory and compliance requirements
• Provide guidance to product, development, testing, and operations teams on pension administration processes.

• Define acceptance criteria for Azure DevOps work items.
• Create workflow diagrams, process maps, and business rule documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners during backlog refinement and prioritization activities.

• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution discussions.
• Clarify functional requirements during development and testing phases.
• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Partner with QA teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and test coverage is complete.
• Review and validate test scenarios and test cases.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, and production validation activities.
• Perform requirement traceability to ensure all business requirements are tested.
• Assist in defect triage, root cause discussions, and resolution validation.

• Collaborate with Operations teams to understand production challenges and process improvement opportunities.
• Analyze incidents and identify functional gaps and enhancement opportunities.
• Support change impact assessments and release readiness activities.
• Participate in production support and post-implementation reviews as needed.
• Contribute to process standardization and operational excellence initiatives.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies:

• Work with Product Owners to refine epics, features, and user stories.
• Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed before development begins.

• 9+ years of experience in Pension Administration platforms and business processes.
• Strong understanding of:

• Retirement and Benefit Processing
• Contribution Management
• Eligibility and Vesting Rules

• Experience working with Brazil pension and benefits administration systems.
• Understanding of pension regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Strong experience in business and system analysis.
• Expertise in requirement elicitation, process modeling, and functional documentation.
• Experience creating detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience performing impact analysis and requirement traceability.

• Good understanding of enterprise web-based applications and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to understand system architecture, APIs, data flows, and integrations.
• Understanding of:
• SQL and relational databases
• REST APIs
• Azure DevOps
• Agile development methodologies
• Ability to communicate effectively with development teams regarding system behavior and functional design.

• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.

• Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot for requirements analysis, documentation, and productivity improvements.

• Bachelor's degree, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Relevant Business Analysis certifications, and Scrum certifications are an advantage.
