Role Overview
Provide middleware and Linux application support for mission-critical systems.
Support highly available systems hosted on-premises or in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Support Apache and Tomcat environments and understand web requests on the supported servers.
- Support application fixes and major or minor releases.
- Diagnose and resolve software faults.
- Report and track product bugs, fixes, and enhancements with the product development team.
- Update incidents, remediation tasks, and problem root-cause analysis tasks in ServiceNow.
- Participate in change management activities.
- Capture application tickets and incidents from end users by phone or instant messaging.
- Provide on-call support and respond to callouts in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Four to seven years of relevant experience is required.
- Middleware knowledge, including Apache and Tomcat, is required.
- Strong Linux application support experience is required.
- A BE in Computer Science or a related technical degree, or equivalent work experience, is required.
- Experience with highly available on-premises or cloud-hosted systems is required.
- Ability to work shifts and weekends is required.
