Responsibilities
- Assist during induction, maintenance, and recovery from anesthesia
- Check anesthesia machine and suction apparatus each morning
- Assemble equipment and supplies for anesthesia administration
- Clean equipment, workspaces, and storage areas before and after surgery
- Position patients for surgery and spinal/epidural anesthesia
- Assist anesthetists with starting IV infusions
- Participate in on call rotation for emergency surgeries
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and OR activities
Requirements
- Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of IV infusion and blood administration systems
- Understanding of sterile techniques for spinal or epidural anesthesia
- Ability to work on call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays
