Analytics Engineer II - Regulatory Reporting

As an Analytics Engineer II on our Regulatory Reporting team, you'll play a hands-on role in building the data platform that powers Underdog's prediction markets business. This is a zero-to-one opportunity. We're scaling fast and building the regulatory reporting infrastructure from the ground up. You'll work across engineering, product, compliance, and senior leadership, getting first-hand exposure to how a federally regulated prediction markets exchange runs and what it takes to keep it running.

The end goal is a fully automated reporting platform: purpose-built dbt models, automated validations, and pipelines that run without manual intervention. You'll build toward that from day one while doing the hands-on investigation work that teaches you exactly what needs to be built and why.

Run daily validation across our regulatory reporting submissions, verify accuracy, flag breaks, and own triage when something looks off.

Investigate data issues end-to-end: get into the raw data, follow the problem wherever it goes, document findings, and hand the team something specific to act on.

Build and maintain dbt models purpose-built for regulatory reporting, slim, tested, connected directly to raw data, and resilient to upstream changes.

Implement automated test cases and validations that catch recurring issues before they become problems.

Support pre-launch submission validation, audit requests, and legal and state data pulls as the function grows.

Own the feedback loop with product and engineering: monitor upstream changes, anticipate their impact on reporting, and raise issues before they hit a deadline.

Participate in the on-call rotation with the broader team.
