Position details
Monitor and support IT infrastructure and application systems.
Assess and escalate alerts and events, raise and follow up incidents, and coordinate with technical experts and users.
Complete daily operational tasks according to the task schedule.
The role involves shift work on a 24 x 365 rota.
Roles and responsibilities
- Monitor, identify, and escalate batch failures.
- Escalate or resolve tickets.
- Perform system housekeeping, shutdown, and startup according to defined procedures and service-level agreements.
- Monitor systems and manage incidents according to strict service-level agreements.
- Complete daily check sheets and reporting.
- Liaise with support teams and third parties.
- Senior-level assignments include coordinating shift workload and providing subject matter expert guidance.
Skills and experience required
- First-line computer operations support experience in financial services.
- Understanding of batch scheduling tools such as Control-M or JP1.
- Unix and Windows first-level support experience.
