What to expect

  • This three to four year development programme will provide you with the skills needed for a role in airport ground operations.
  • You’ll gain experience across key operational areas, ensuring seamless guest experiences and smooth airport operations.

What you’ll achieve

  • You will Build a solid understanding of airport operations through three key work placements: In Network Operations Control at Etihad HQ, the Hub Control Center and in Aircraft Dispatch at Abu Dhabi Airport.
  • This ensures you gain a well rounded experience across critical areas of the operation.

Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and deliver guest acceptance and handling across all airport touchpoints (check in, boarding, arrivals), ensuring exceptional customer service and full compliance with safety, security, brand standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver performance in line with agreed KPIs, ancillary revenue goals, and customer service targets.
  • Coordinate on shift operations with internal and external stakeholders, including airline teams, handling partners, service providers, and local authorities, ensuring clear briefings, real time updates, and effective communication.
  • Manage flight editing and special guest requirements, including the planning and handling of VIP/MAAS, PRM, and other special category guests.
  • Liaise with Guest Control, Business Solutions, Network Control, and SOC to manage operational disruption and support emergency response.

Qualifications

  • UAE National aged 19+ with a valid family book
  • Have completed a minimum of a High School Diploma (accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education)
  • Are fluent in English
  • Have experience in a customer service position (preferred)
  • Are able to work on shift based schedules
  • Can wear the Etihad uniform with pride
  • Completed or permanently exempted from UAE National Service (males only)
