Role Overview

Airbus Americas is seeking an Aircraft Manager I for aircraft production and flight-test activities.

The role manages assigned aircraft folios from assembly through flight test and handover to the delivery center.

The position coordinates issue resolution across production, quality, flightline, and delivery stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage non-conformities, customer findings, flightline issues, and other folio points through closure.
  • Prepare FOT meetings, aircraft documentation, quality-gate materials, and status updates.
  • Maintain accurate aircraft progress information and ensure records reflect the physical aircraft state.
  • Escalate issues, analyze inflow, highlight priorities, and drive corrective actions.
  • Plan working parties and coordinate resolution of major aircraft issues.
  • Collaborate with Station Managers and participate in national and international projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or relevant aviation-manufacturing technician training.
  • At least 3 years of aviation-related, manufacturing planning, or manufacturing project-management experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, supply chain, and quality processes is required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate problem solving, deadline management, communication, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Experience in a leading role is preferred.

Workplace and Physical Requirements

  • The position is 100% onsite.
  • The role involves working in office and production areas and operating office and selected production equipment.
  • Candidates must be able to lift or carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 pounds.
  • Candidates must be able to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, and travel independently at short notice.
