Position Summary

Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues across hotel equipment and building systems.

The position is full time, non-management, and not remote.

The role covers air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance.

Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, inspections, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on hotel tools, equipment, guestroom items, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain inventories, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts.
  • Perform painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and air-conditioning filter replacement, and thorough work-area cleanup.
  • Program televisions, adjust air-handler schedules and temperatures, and complete engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Repair interior and exterior landscaping elements and external landscaping sprinklers.
  • Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance work and follow safety, security, quality, confidentiality, and asset-protection procedures.

Qualifications

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Some general maintenance and interior or exterior surface preparation and painting experience is preferred.
  • Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is advantageous.
  • The role requires moving objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance.
  • The role requires using stairs, ramps, ladders, and positions involving overhead and below-knee reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
