AI Software Engineer (Model Training)

About the role

What you would do

• Design and maintain distributed training pipelines for large language models.
• Build ingestion and preprocessing systems for large training datasets.
• Develop experiment management, checkpointing, and reproducibility tooling.
• Monitor and debug long-running training jobs across clusters.
• Improve reliability, observability, and training throughput across compute, memory, and data pipelines.
• Work with researchers on training runs and diagnose failures across infrastructure, training loops, and data pipelines.

Working environment

• The role involves working in code, logs, dashboards, and experiment outputs to make large-scale training reliable.
• The position is full time in Melbourne and works closely with an in-person engineering and research team.
