About the Job
The role defines how AI characters, digital humans, and virtual characters perform, communicate, and express narrative intent.
The work combines narrative design, character performance, conversational AI, generative technologies, and interactive experiences.
The specialist collaborates across narrative, writing, AI, design, voice, animation, UX/UI, and development disciplines.
Performance Design
- Develop narrative performance frameworks and translate character identities, story objectives, emotional states, and dramatic situations into AI requirements.
- Design dialogue, tone, pacing, pauses, reactions, behavior, and interaction that communicate narrative intent.
- Create guidelines for voice, speech, timing, emotional expression, facial expression, gaze, gesture, posture, and movement.
- Develop behavior for scripted, adaptive, interactive, and emergent narrative experiences.
AI Character Collaboration and Testing
- Create prompts, system instructions, behavioral rules, scenarios, examples, and evaluation criteria.
- Work with conversational AI teams on turn-taking, interruption, hesitation, clarification, disagreement, and emotional responses.
