The role is within a development and engineering team at a global investment firm expanding its applied AI capabilities.
The engineer will build tools supporting front-office investment teams, quants, and traders.
Work Arrangement
- The role is full-time and based in Abu Dhabi.
- Remote working is not available.
- Relocation packages are offered to candidates outside the region.
Responsibilities
- Design autonomous multi-agent systems for complex investment workflows.
- Develop RAG pipelines using structured and unstructured company data.
- Build application modules for front-office investment teams.
- Partner with quants and traders on quantitative trading and risk optimization.
- Integrate current LLM research from OpenAI, Microsoft, Anthropic, and other providers.
- Design conversational memory and long-term context solutions.
- Own deliverables from stakeholder requirements through regulated enterprise deployment.
Essential Experience
- At least 5 years of enterprise-grade development experience, including at least 2 years in applied AI or LLM projects.
- Strong Python skills and production experience with GPT-4, Claude, or comparable LLMs.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic workflow frameworks.
- Practical RAG, vector search, semantic search, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Financial-services generative AI experience in trading, compliance, or customer support.
- Experience adapting LLMs with LoRA or PEFT and using agent frameworks such as OpenAI's Agents SDK.
Preferred Exposure
- Fixed income, foreign exchange, or credit exposure is a plus.
