About NextClerk
NextClerk is building an AI-powered revenue and billing management platform for subscription businesses. The platform is designed to streamline contract-to-cash workflows, automate revenue operations, support ASC 606 compliance, integrate with existing CRM and financial systems, and help companies maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
About the Internship
NextClerk is seeking an AI and Data Engineering Intern to support the systems that transform contracts, billing records, CRM data, and payment activity into structured revenue workflows. You will work with engineers and finance-domain experts on data ingestion, document understanding, validation, reconciliation, and AI-assisted workflow automation. This internship is well suited for a student or recent graduate interested in applied AI, financial software, data pipelines, or enterprise automation.
Responsibilities
- Help build data pipelines for contracts, invoices, subscriptions, payments, and customer records.
- Assist with extracting structured fields from contracts and billing documents.
- Develop data-cleaning, normalization, validation, and reconciliation workflows.
- Support AI-assisted classification of contract terms, billing events, and revenue-related records.
- Build test datasets for contract interpretation, revenue schedules, and exception detection.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and unsupported assumptions.
- Help identify duplicate, missing, or conflicting data across CRM, billing, and accounting systems.
