An Agricultural Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving agricultural systems, equipment, and processes to enhance productivity, sustainability, and operational efficiency in farming and food production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, and farming equipment
- Plan and supervise agricultural infrastructure projects
- Improve crop production systems and resource efficiency
- Monitor irrigation, drainage, and water management systems
- Conduct research on sustainable farming methods and technologies
- Evaluate soil, environmental, and agricultural conditions
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with farmers, contractors, and agricultural specialists
- Implement modern agricultural technologies and automation systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in agricultural or farming projects preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, soil management, and farm machinery
- Familiarity with agricultural regulations and sustainability practices
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in engineering software and technical reporting
- UAE driving license is an advantage
