After School Program Assistant Director (Spring Valley Corps)

The person holding this position receives the trust of fellow staff and The Salvation Army. It is therefore expected that the individual will be trustworthy, will maintain confidentiality, and will exhibit loyalty in all job[1]related matters to those served, the staff of The Salvation Army Spring Valley, NY and The Salvation Army as a whole.

Experience working with school-aged children (classroom teaching experience is preferred).

High energy and the ability to work well with others.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

An understanding of child development.

Multilingual- English/Spanish/French strongly preferred

Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Infant/child and Adult CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to attain certificate within 90 days.

Must clear full background check.

Must provide health screening that includes a physical and TB results within the first 90 days.

Must be willing to support and/or lead faith-based kid’s activities and programming.
