- High school diploma required, Associate’s Degree Preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred
- Experience working with children
- Must have or be pursuing EEC certification
- Flexible, self-motivated
- Must have a high level of energy
- Must be able to deal with conflict in a positive manner
- Must be open to change
- Non-judgmental about the families and children served
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily curriculum
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere. Assure that a method of positive discipline is used at all times.
- Work as a team to collaborate with your co-teacher as well as the other teachers.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Write a developmental evaluation for each child every three months. Meet with parents to discuss their child's progress. Evaluate each child's needs and set appropriate goals.
- Make sure that all aspects of the classroom are running smoothly; transitions, routines, nap time, health and safety procedures, etc.
- Pursue activities to further your own professional development.
- Communicate with the Director on a daily basis. This includes communicating information from parents about a child's behavior, as well as utilizing the chain of command when a problem or disagreement arises.
- Communicate with each parent daily.
