About the Role
As an After Hours Carrier Sales Representative II, you are a key contributor to Uber Freight's business by generating and maintaining carrier relationships. What the Candidate Will Do
Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop core and dedicated carriers specific to expedite freight.
Ensure customer satisfaction and extremely high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes
Secure capacity, monitor and update shipment status, communicate with carriers/shippers/receivers, handle rescheduling, detention, and issue ComChecks as needed.
Onboard vendors/locations, maintain TMS data (rates, fuel surcharge), and oversee accounts receivable within guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Related experience in transportation and/or logistics
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a sales/cold call setting or related experience
- Track and trace or related experience
- Able to work Monday-Friday 1:30pm -10:00pm from home
- Able to train the first week in office Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Google or Microsoft Office Suite
