The Fan & Compressor Aerothermal Team is responsible for the development of Fan & Compressor Aerothermal capability.
The team delivers technology from TRL1 -7 in conjunction with our strategic partners.
Work within the team ranges from the original inception of design work, through NPI design and through in to the EDP.
The team supports Production and Fleet issues.
The Fan & Compressor Aerothermal capability covers whole module gas path aerodynamics & performance analysis, blade/vane aerodynamic design & analysis, production & fleet support.
It relies on skills in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamic Design at a range of levels of fidelity and testing capability in a range of TRL rigs.
Design and capability generation relies on a knowledge and understanding of the interaction of these components both locally and at an engine level.
This role is part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability.
