Overview
Zebra Technologies develops smart solutions that anticipate customer and partner needs.
The Senior Data Scientist role covers the full data science lifecycle, including ingestion and transformation pipelines, ML/AI models, optimization, operationalization, root-cause analysis, and explainability.
Data Engineering and Platform Delivery
- Design, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using PySpark and Databricks on Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
- Develop automated data validation processes for proactive data quality checks.
- Use Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, and MLflow for experiments, automation, and scheduled Databricks jobs.
- Optimize cloud resources and Databricks DBU consumption to control costs.
- Use GitHub repositories and production code management best practices.
Modeling and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and tune ML, AI, and mathematical optimization models and run experiments to demonstrate incremental value.
- Communicate with business stakeholders about requirements, data deficiencies, model performance, root-cause analysis, and model outputs.
- Follow data architecture, coding, and project management best practices.
- Collaborate with customers, engagement managers, data operations, product management, and software engineering.
