Develop innovative and cost-effective manufacturing solutions to meet customer needs.
Perform cycle time analysis on new processes and conduct throughput studies.
Create clear process flows to guide the execution team.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing specialists to develop and verify processes based on product information, cycle times, and field checks.
Finalize system layouts, assist in preparing project feasibility capital and operating costs.
Create and review project proposals, customer presentations, and technical reports.
Participate in customer tech reviews and line up internal groups for effective collaboration.
Benchmark, review, and recommend new technologies and industry best practices.
Experience: 3+ years in designing automation systems. Familiar with customized equipment including battery tray assembly and testing tailored for the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, an asset.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in the mechanical or industrial engineering field. Expert in CAD systems and software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and NX. Demonstrated capabilities in 3D design and developing 2D layouts using one or more of the above mentioned CAD systems.
