- Undertake administrative duties such as developing clinical guidelines and pathways
- Participate in teaching activities, grand rounds, and research
Requirements
- Graduation from medical school recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KAAUH
- Successful completion of one year of internship
- Board/Fellowship Certificate in appropriate specialty recognized by SCHS
- Three or more years of training in the field of specialty
- Three years relevant experience post board certification
- One or more years post board specialty training outside Saudi Arabia or equivalent

Job Purpose
- To provide medical services for the overall management of patients within the scope of services and privileges, and contribute to administration, education, and research at KAAUH.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Have a practical understanding of KAAUH Mission, Vision, Values, Bylaws, Code of Ethics, etc.
- Practice KAAUH values: Patient Driven, High Reliability, Teamwork, Professional Ethics, Learning and Sharing, Performance Driven.
- Provide patient care at a subspecialist level in accordance with delineated scope of services and granted privileges.
- Patient care includes consultation services, follow up care, performing procedures, sharing in on call duties.
- Deliver care in outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, emergency room, operation room, day unit, intensive care units.
- Practice patient care based on up to date best practices and scientific evidence.
- Abide by KAAUH quality improvement initiatives and ensure a safe healing environment.
- Empower patients and families and contribute to excellent patient experience.
- Supervise team members (resident, assistant consultant, associate consultant) and contribute to their professional development.
- Provide clear understandable information to patients related to health and case.
- Undertake administrative duties such as developing clinical management guidelines, clinical pathways, and evidence based best practices.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities like audits, peer reviews, and morbidity & mortality rounds.
Job Qualifications and Experience
- Graduated from Medical school, recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KAAUH.
- Successful completion of one year of Internship.
- Board/Fellowship Certificate by appropriate specialty recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KAAUH or current SCHS Registration/License.
- Successful completion of three or more years of training in the field of specialty recognized by SCHS.
- Three years relevant experience post board certification.
- One or more years post board specialty training outside Saudi Arabia in internationally accredited institutes or equivalent.
