Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
As the first point of contact for the healthcare team, you will actively speak to hospitals, GP surgeries, and others, arranging external appointments for patients
Book patients in for appointments
Work closely with the wider prison team to arrange hospital appointments, and ensure that prison officers have up to date clinic lists
Process referrals
Update trackers, systems and spreadsheets for hospital appointments, admissions, consent forms etc
Carry out admin tasks for Early Days in Custody (EDIC) / Reception
General admin duties such as scanning, post, minute taking and stock check

Have extensive administration experience, ideally within a healthcare / medical setting, such as hospitals, GP surgery etc
Have excellent customer service skills - this is a patient facing role
Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Any healthcare knowledge and experience would be a bonus, as would knowledge of QAF and clinical coding
SystmOne knowledge would be beneficial
