Administrative Coordinator

The Administrative Coordinator provides a range of administrative, operations and project support for the Faculty of Applied Sciences – Office of the Dean. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Office of the Dean, providing confidential administration support, supporting the administrative activities and processes related to the academic personnel appointment process and managing the facility and operational requirements within the Faculty.

The successful candidate will be a highly organized and service-oriented professional with experience supporting programs, operations, and student-focused initiatives in a complex environment. They will demonstrate sound judgment in interpreting and applying policies and procedures, handling sensitive or complex matters, and communicating effectively with students and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be skilled at coordinating multiple priorities, identifying and resolving operational issues, supporting the development and implementation of programs and procedures, and working collaboratively with program leaders and colleagues to enhance student engagement, service delivery, and the overall student experience.

The assignment end date is 10 months from start date.

The Administrative Coordinator supports student-focused programs, services, and initiatives across the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The role provides administrative, operational, and project support while contributing to student engagement, success, recruitment, retention, and connection to the Faculty across SFU’s Burnaby and Surrey campuses.
