Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor - Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Computer Engineering and Applied Mathematics - College of Interdisciplinary Systems - Abu Dhabi and Dubai

The College of Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS) seeks qualified candidates to teach courses in the Computational Systems (CS)

on their Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses starting January 2027.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of excellence at baccalaureate-level teaching.

Faculty will be responsible for teaching courses related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Digital Security (DS), Applied Math, Computational Mathematics, and other core CS subjects.

CIS follows an active learning pedagogy and faculty are expected to engage students in creative thinking, foster critical thinking and mentor them in their academic and professional development.

Additionally, the faculty will demonstrate professional and scholarly accomplishment appropriate to their rank, and they will be expected to contribute to scholarly activities and demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Courses are taught online and on-campus and faculty members meet course coordinators regularly to ensure consistent course delivery across sections.

Applications are invited from candidates that MUST have the following:

• PhD in AI, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computational Mathematics, or a related field that is or can be recognized by the UAE’s Ministry of Education.
• A minimum of 3 years of undergraduate or graduate teaching experience with a focus on AI, ML/DL, or DS.
• Experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Demonstrable and applied active learning experience in teaching higher-education courses.
• Experience in leading capstone projects or industry partnerships and student supervision.
• Must hold a valid UAE residency visa.

• A current CV indicating qualifications with completion dates, verifiable previous experiences, and courses taught in the latest academic position.
• A cover letter (maximum of two pages) indicating how the candidate can contribute to CIS/CS.
• Contact details of 3 references (we will contact referees after the candidate passes the initial interview). For each referee, please include 1) Name, 2) Position, 3) Organisation, and 4) Email address.
• A scanned copy of your PhD certificate.
• A scanned copy of your master’s certificate and transcript (if applicable).
• Student evaluations from recent courses taught, if available.

Applicants must have a valid UAE residence visa and will be required to provide a No Objection Letter from their sponsor, or employer in case of full-time employment.

The same requirement applies to applicants with a golden visa.
