Additive Manufacturing Equipment & Process Manager

The AM Equipment & Process Manager owns Vulcanforms' laser powder bed fusion platform end-to-end — from machine health and vendor relationships to process parameter development and production build management.

This is a manager role at the intersection of equipment ownership, people leadership, and product development.

The ideal candidate brings deep LPBF technical expertise combined with the ability to build and lead a team of operators and maintenance technicians, both internal and external.

A core part of this role is driving the development of new products and materials on the LPBF platform, translating process capability into manufacturable outcomes.

• Own and manage the LPBF equipment fleet, including maintenance scheduling, performance monitoring, and lifecycle planning
• Directly manage a team of machine operators and maintenance technicians, including contractors and external service personnel
• Lead process parameter development across relevant alloy systems, from initial development through qualification and production release
• Drive new product development on the LPBF platform — collaborating with engineering and design teams to translate part requirements into qualified, production-ready processes
• Manage production build planning and execution, coordinating with internal teams on scheduling, powder inventory, and shared equipment
