Adaptive Planning Administrator / Technical Lead

Role Overview

Adaptive Planning Responsibilities

• Own configuration and optimization of Adaptive models, dimensions, levels, hierarchies, attributes, versions, and assumptions.
• Administer modeled and cube sheets, including advanced formula development for lookups, allocations, and driver-based logic.
• Manage Data Agent processes, integrations, data flows, refresh schedules, and dependencies.
• Maintain mappings, transformations, reconciliation controls, and alternate reporting hierarchies.
• Design and support dashboards, Hubs, and reporting solutions using HTML reporting and OfficeConnect.
• Administer role-based security, access provisioning, reviews, and governance standards.
• Partner with IT and EDW teams on schema changes, performance, data lineage, interfaces, dependencies, and SLAs.
• Support forecast, budget, and commit cycles, including versions, locks, workflows, calendars, assumptions, and source-data loading.
• Perform financial data tie-outs and resolve mapping and timing variances.
• Maintain playbooks, SOPs, data dictionaries, and cutover or runbook materials.
• Lead training, office hours, user support, and Tier 2/3 issue resolution.
• Drive platform scalability, performance, enterprise adoption, governed self-service, and continuous improvement.

Technical Competencies

• OfficeConnect, HTML reporting, dashboards, and Hub development.
• Adaptive Data Agent configuration and secure data pipelines.
• Advanced data management, integration configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Security administration, governance, metadata, master data, and data stewardship.
• Automation, scripting, technical troubleshooting, lifecycle management, change management, and release control.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of experience with Adaptive Planning configuration and administration.
• Experience administering a production environment.
• Workday Adaptive Planning certifications, including Essentials, Integrations, or similar.
• Hands-on experience managing integrations, automation, and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial consolidation, and planning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Adaptive Data Agent, secure connectivity, scheduled integrations, mappings, and failed-load troubleshooting.
• Experience with JDBC, secure file transfers, REST APIs, and automated data pipelines.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational data structures.
• Experience maintaining Adaptive models, sheets, dimensions, assumptions, versions, and reporting hierarchies.
• Advanced Adaptive formula development and scalable multidimensional model design.
• Knowledge of report governance, SOX compliance, audit requirements, and technical project coordination.
