Role Overview

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or an equivalent field is required.
• Generally, 3 to 5 years of professional experience and at least 3 years of relevant acoustic consulting experience are required.
• Experience on residential and hospitality projects from concept design through completion and testing is required.
• Site experience in noise monitoring, building acoustic testing, and construction-stage inspections is essential.
• IOA Membership or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Acoustic modelling software experience is preferred but not essential.

Technical Competencies

• Demonstrate acoustic measurements using sound level meters and building acoustics test equipment.
• Apply acoustic theory and calculations for sound insulation, room acoustics, HVAC noise, and vibration isolation.
• Understand noise and vibration assessment methodologies for the built environment.
• Apply project management, technical problem-solving, communication, and client relationship skills.
