Founded in 1948 as Acme Electric Motor, Acme Tools remains a family-owned business with locations throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. In 1999, Tool Crib of the North, Acme's catalog and internet division, was acquired by Amazon.com. Since rebranding as Acme Tools, we have established ourselves as one of the premier online retailers of tools and equipment in the United States. In 2013, Acme Tools expanded our line of construction and landscaping equipment through a new division, Acme Equipment.
