We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Business Support and Finance team at Tropicana Gold Mine. Reporting to the Mine Accountant, this position plays a key role in providing site-wide accounts support, including processing purchase requisitions, service entries, and end-of-month finance activities.

This role is offered on an 8/6 roster, with direct flights to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie. Flexible working arrangements will also be considered for this position.

About the Role

Provide site-wide purchase requisition and service entry support to operational personnel.

Monitor invoices and liaise with managers regarding payment approvals and accounts payable matters.

Prepare accruals for services received but not yet invoiced.

Assist with month-end tasks and journal entries.

Complete general ledger account reconciliations.

Provide monthly cost reports to operational personnel.

Coordinate the timely completion of weekly and monthly reports.

Maintain SOX control files and ensure compliance with management systems and processes.

Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed.

Coordinate and support the gold shipments

Monitor and maintain site wide fuel dispensing systems

About You

Good understanding of basic accounting practices.

Previous experience with SAP requisitioning, service entries, and purchase order analysis is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business goals.

Previous mine site experience would be beneficial; however, it is not essential.

Previous experience dealing with audits and audit preparation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
