Role Overview

  • The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supervising the day to day work of the accounting team (Accountants and Senior Accountants).

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision & Leadership: Supervise, guide, and review the work of Accountants and Senior Accountants.
  • Assign tasks, manage workload distribution, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Review and approve accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation prepared by the team.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Review and validate RVs, PVs, and JVs prepared by the team.
  • Ensure proper posting and accuracy within the ERP system (Maxis Cloud or equivalent).
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead and ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Review and approve bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, POS and cash reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reports before submission to management.
  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards (IFRS).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, IFRS, full accounting cycle and closing processes.
  • Experience supervising or leading accounting staff.
  • Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CMA).
  • Strong ERP experience (Maxis Cloud or similar systems).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision making skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
