Job Overview
We are looking for an Accounting Officer to join the accounting team within the mortgage industry. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, reconciliations, loan closing entries, disbursements, and financial reporting. Job Responsibilities
- Reconcile assets, liabilities, income, and expenses to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare financial reports and statements as required.
- Record and reconcile entries related to loan closings.
- Prepare disbursements associated with loan closings.
- Review and verify system transactions, account movements, and financial records.
- Review and process invoices for services provided.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, laws, and operational requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
- One (1) year or more of accounting-related experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .
- Knowledge and experience with laws and regulations applicable to credit and/or mortgage operations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish , both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.
Required Availability
Monday through Friday.
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Availability to work outside regular business hours, as needed.
On-site position.
Compensation
- $12.50 per hour.
