About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Superintendent, the role will require you to be directly accountable for a full range of site-based commercial activities.
Duties
- The role will require you to work collaboratively across various departments to deliver the following:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasts and associated variance analysis and commentary
- Manage internal and external financial reporting, including JV reports and assisting with financial audits.
- Enforce adherence to commercial policies, identifying and leading business improvement efforts.
- Analyze and optimize departmental and activity-based costs to meet financial targets.
- Coordinate timely reporting in accordance with Joint Venture and management agreements.
- Support site personnel on company financial, procurement, and commercial policies.
- Support departments in meeting commercial obligations, including contractor management and capital procurement.
- Drive a culture of innovation and high performance within the team.
- Oversee key projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
About you
A successful candidate will possess the following:
Financial qualification (Bachelor level in Business, Commerce or Accounting) and working towards CA/CPA or equivalent.
3+ years of post-qualification accounting (preferably in the mining industry).
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with measurable outcomes.
