Role Overview

Workplace and Schedule

• The position is based in Bangalore, India, with hybrid or office-based working stated.
• The employment type is full-time.
• Working hours are standard Indian business hours, with flexibility during close periods.

Month-End Close and Variance Analysis

• Calculate, review, and post revenue accruals and month-end journal entries for the Messaging business line.
• Own balance sheet and account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, clear open balances, and maintain ledger integrity.
• Perform month-over-month and trend variance analysis on Revenue and COGS accounts.
• Prepare variance schedules, transactional evidence, and commentary for the Senior Revenue Controller.

ERP Operations and Reporting

• Upload accounts receivable invoices and credit notes into local ERP systems where automated interfaces are unavailable.
• Prepare recurring reports for Regional Accounting teams, including US tax reconciliations.
• Provide supporting data and reconciliations to internal finance stakeholders in OTC, RTR, and Finance Messaging.

Process Optimization and Automation

• Map operational workflows and identify redundant, manual, or error-prone tasks across the close cycle.
• Create standardized templates and automated data-cleansing models using advanced Excel, Power Query, and lightweight macros.
• Maintain standard operating procedures and visual workflow charts for internal controls, cross-training, and team continuity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• B.Com, M.Com, MBA in Finance, CMA/ICWA, or CA Inter qualification is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in corporate finance or accounting focused on Revenue and COGS is required.
• Advanced Excel proficiency is required, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and basic Macros/VBA automation.
• Experience in Telecom, CPaaS, SaaS, or Cloud Communications is highly preferred.
• ERP experience with SAP Business ByDesign, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or PrecisionPoint is preferred.
• Workflow documentation experience using Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io is a plus.
