About the Role
STIINE Electromechanical Works LLC is seeking a General Accountant to oversee daily financial operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and VAT compliance.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and post daily, monthly, and year end journal entries for prepayments, accruals, and adjustments
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany transactions monthly
- Maintain fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation
- Verify supplier invoices, process payments, and manage vendor aging reports
- Generate client invoices, track accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments
- Compile and generate SIF for monthly payroll via WPS in compliance with MOHRE guidelines
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations
- Assist in preparing monthly Cash Flow statements, Income Statements, and Balance Sheets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 4 6 years of progressive general accounting experience
- At least 2 years handling payroll and VAT compliance in the UAE
- Strong operational knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data formulas)
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations, WPS payroll processing, and IFRS

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post daily, monthly, and year end journal entries for prepayments, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany transactions monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, calculating and recording monthly depreciation.
- Assist in timely month end and year end financial closing processes.
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, process payments, and manage vendor aging reports.
- Generate outgoing invoices for clients, track accounts receivable balances, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Review and process employee expense claims and corporate utility bills.
- Manage, audit, and reconcile corporate petty cash funds.
- Compile, verify, and generate Salary Information Files (SIF) for monthly payroll via WPS.
- Investigate and resolve payroll variances, banking rejections, or unpaid salary flags.
- Compute accurate end of service benefits, gratuity, and leave encashments in accordance with UAE Labor Law.
- Prepare, verify, and submit quarterly VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive general accounting experience, with at least 2 years handling payroll and VAT compliance in the UAE.
- Strong operational knowledge of mainstream ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations, WPS payroll processing, and standard accounting principles (IFRS).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data formulas) for complex reconciliations and reporting.
