Accountant - F&B / Multi-Outlet Operations

Role Overview

Accounting and Financial Management

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, books of accounts, general ledger, payables, receivables, reconciliations, journals, and period-end closing.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and management reports.
• Maintain accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation.

Outlet and F&B Financial Control

• Reconcile daily outlet sales across POS systems, cash, cards, and online delivery platforms.
• Monitor outlet revenue, food and beverage costs, gross margins, COGS, wastage, stock variances, discounts, complimentary items, and voids.
• Produce branch-level profit and loss and performance reporting and investigate unusual trends or discrepancies.

Procurement and Supplier Finance

• Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods received notes, and supplier invoices.
• Perform PO-GRN-invoice three-way matching before payment and maintain supplier reconciliations and payment schedules.
• Monitor supplier pricing, credit terms, balances, and opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and margins.

Inventory and Payroll

• Monitor stock movements, consumption, adjustments, physical stock counts, inventory variances, and food and beverage costing.
• Prepare or review payroll inputs, attendance, overtime, incentives, deductions, employee costs, and payroll reconciliations.
• Coordinate with HR and Operations on employee payments, advances, reimbursements, and final settlements.

Cash Flow, Compliance, and Audit

• Monitor cash positions, prepare short-term cash flow forecasts, manage petty cash, and reconcile deposits with outlet collections.
• Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax calculations, reconciliations, and filings.
• Maintain audit trails, coordinate with auditors and tax consultants, and maintain internal financial controls.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5 or more years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong F&B cost-control, inventory, procurement, outlet-profitability, and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, payroll, inventory accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and management reporting.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and strong analytical ability.

Candidate Profile

• The candidate should be hands-on, commercially aware, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning the finance function independently.
• Experience in coffee shop chains, restaurant groups, cafés, QSR, F&B retail, or other multi-location hospitality businesses is strongly preferred.
• A valid UAE driving licence is an added advantage.
