About the Role
A business setup agency in Dubai is looking for an Accountant to manage VAT accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for the company and its clients. Requires 3-4 years experience in VAT and accounting, knowledge of UAE regulations, and proficiency in Zoho Books.

Responsibilities
- Fully responsible for VAT accounting and up to finalization
- Produce error free accounting reports
- Carry out UAE VAT registration filing independently
- Update SOA on time, send tax invoices to stakeholders, prepare quotations
- Maintain general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation
- Maintain fixed asset records, determine depreciation terms/rates
- Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed
- Analyze monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows)
- Maintain records for account receivables, deposits, prepaid/accrued expenses
- Liaise with internal team mates on petty cash expenses and maintain accounts
- Maintain proper accounting records, prepare monthly P&L, bank reconciliations
- Liaise with clients, business partners, auditors and vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounts
- Minimum 3 4 years experience in VAT & Accounting Field
- Knowledge of UAE regulatory compliances (VAT, ESR, UBO, AML)
- Excellent English language (verbal & writing) & communication skills
- Good level in Microsoft Office (advanced level in Excel)
- Knowledge regarding the new 9% corporate tax
- Experience in Using Zoho Books and Zoho products
- Maturity to discuss relevant issues with the client during audit process
- French is a plus

Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Fully responsible for VAT accounting and up to finalization, Produce error free accounting report.
- Ability to carry out UAE Vat registration filing independently.
- SOA updates on time, sending tax invoices to stakeholders and preparing quotations.
- Maintain the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions and prepare collection and billing reports (using ZOHO Books).
- Maintain fixed asset records, determine depreciation terms/rates to apply to capitalized items.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed and analyze monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows).
- Maintain records for account receivables, deposits, prepaid/accrued expenses.
- Liaising with internal team mates on the petty cash expenses and maintain the accounts.
- Maintaining proper accounting records, prepare monthly P&L, bank reconciliations.
- Liaising with clients, business partners, auditors and vendors.
- Investigating and rectifying any financial discrepancies.
- Conducting internal and external audits, monthly reports review.
Qualifications needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounts.
- Minimum 3 4 years experience in Vat & Accounting Field
- Knowledge of UAE regulatory compliances for entities like VAT, ESR, UBO Regulation, AML compliance & other regulatory compliances.
- Excellent English language (verbal & writing) & communication skills (french is a plus)
- Good level in Microsoft Office (advanced level in Excel).
- Knowledge regarding the new 9% corporate tax that will start on mid 2023
- Experience in Using Zoho Books, and Zoho products.
- Maturity to discuss relevant issues with the client during audit process.
Pay
- AED 3,500.00 AED 5,000.00 per month
