Job Summary
A mid-level Accountant to be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and compliance processes.
This role typically works with limited supervision and may guide Accounting Assistant staff.
1. Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Ensure reports comply with relevant accounting IFRS standards
2. General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Post journal entries and adjust entries as needed
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Review of Vendor and Customer accounts ledger.
- Monitor cash flow and outstanding balances
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and clients
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
- Provide variance analysis and recommendations
5. Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits
- Prepare documentation and respond to audit queries
6. Tax & Regulatory Filings
- Prepare VAT Returns preparation
7. Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes
- Recommend and implement improvements
8. Team Support
- Supervise or mentor Accounts Assistants
- Review their work for accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Professional certification (preferred): CPA, ACCA, or CMA
- Strong knowledge of accounting SAP 4/HANA software
- Advanced Excel skills
