Overview

We are assisting one of our clients, a fast growing

Corporate Services Provider

with offices in

Cyprus And Dubai (Jlt Area)

which is hiring an experienced

Accountant

for their Dubai office.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Planning, execution and successful completion of accounting work in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Recording of invoices, receipts, payments and preparing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of Debtors/Creditors reconciliation
  • Excellent understanding of financial assets and relevant postings in the accounts, including recognition of fair value.
  • Ensure relevant provisions were recognized through the year
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and cash flow statements for clients
  • Preparing quarterly VAT reconciliation
  • Apply critical thinking and professional judgement identifies and raises issues at the appropriate level
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the team and client personnel and meet client and firm deadlines
  • Regular reporting to the Manager about status, progress and completion of accounting work
  • Collecting, preparing and sending information to the Auditors
  • Collaborating with other departments

Required Skills & Experience

  • ACCA certification will be considered an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible and professional with respect to appearance and behavior
  • Organized methodological with high attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
  • Fluent in English
  • Russian language would be considered an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work under strict reporting deadlines when necessary
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
  • Basic understanding of database logic (keys, relationships, queries)
  • Preparing all outgoing correspondence in a professional format.
