Core Responsibilities
- **Day-to-Day Operations:** Processing accounts payable and receivable, petty cash management, and maintaining the general ledger.
- **Reconciliation:** Performing bank, vendor, and inter-company account reconciliations.
- **Financial Reporting:** Assisting in the preparation of Trial Balances, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and Balance Sheets.
- **Compliance & Tax:** Managing VAT filings and ensuring all financial documentation adheres to UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
- **Auditing:** Assisting internal and external auditors by providing accurate financial records and supporting documents.
2. Key Qualifications & Skills
- **Education:** A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA) provide a significant hiring advantage.
- **Experience:** Minimum 2 to 5 years of UAE-specific accounting experience is heavily preferred by local employers.
- **Software Proficiency:** Strong hands-on knowledge of ERPs and accounting software such as Tally ERP. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are also a prerequisite.
