Role Overview
Al Jazira Group is hiring an Accountant to join its team in Qatar.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review daily accounting entries, including cheque and cash transactions.
- Monitor project accounts and costs, preferably in the contracting sector.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
- Follow up on invoices and outstanding payments with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with government authorities regarding VAT, Zakat, and other requirements.
- Prepare tax reports.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts and real estate projects.
- Apply revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting for projects.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience.
- Contracting or real estate experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or SAP accounting software.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 2,452.02 to QAR 6,802.62 per month.
