Join Al Raya Group's finance team in the UAE as an Accountant.
Support daily accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, closing activities, audits, and UAE accounting and tax compliance.
Location and employment
- Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- Job type: Full-time.
What you'll do
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Process supplier invoices, payments, receipts, and expense claims.
- Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare supporting schedules, management accounts, and financial statements.
- Maintain accounting documentation and filing.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations when required.
- Support external auditors and provide requested documentation.
- Assist with UAE VAT accounting, reconciliations, return preparation, and compliance.
- Record transactions according to accounting standards and company policies and resolve discrepancies.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 2,000–AED 3,000 per month, with accommodation provided.
Who should apply
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Real estate experience is preferred.
- Experience with Zoho Books or a similar ERP and Microsoft Suite applications.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT; exposure to UAE Corporate Tax is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, numerical ability, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional working-level English proficiency is required; Arabic is an advantage.
