Role Overview
Syllabase Learning is an educational institution in Dubai seeking an experienced and responsible Accountant.
The role supports bookkeeping, fee collections, VAT compliance, reporting, payroll records, and audit documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily bookkeeping and accounting records.
- Manage student fee collections, receipts, and outstanding payments.
- Handle VAT accounting, VAT returns, and VAT-related documentation.
- Prepare invoices, payment records, expense reports, and monthly financial statements.
- Manage petty cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist with payroll and salary records and maintain audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting and VAT requirements.
- Coordinate with management, suppliers, and auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 or more years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
- Experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
- Educational institution experience is an advantage.
- Good communication, organizational, analytical, detail-oriented, and confidential working practices.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,500–AED 3,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
