AC & Refrigeration Technician

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems according to manufacturer specifications and local regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, pressure testing, leak detection, and refrigerant recovery.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls to minimize downtime and disruption.
• Monitor equipment during shifts, conduct inspections, and report abnormalities to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Document maintenance activities, readings, repairs, equipment status, and shift handovers.
• Follow safety and permit-to-work procedures and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments and support other engineering disciplines when required.

Requirements

• ITI qualification of two years in HVAC and Refrigeration or a three-year Diploma in HVAC and Refrigeration.
• Proficiency with manifold gauges, multimeters, and refrigerant recovery equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and system documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of UAE regulations and standards for HVAC and refrigeration work.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
• Additional HVAC or refrigeration trade certifications.
