Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform on-site management, supervision, and coordination of all self-performed and subcontracted work within the above ground scope.
Execute construction activities in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Control project schedule and cost through the efficient use of construction resources, including workforce, materials, tools, and equipment.

Provide input to project schedules in cooperation with construction engineers and planners.
Coordinate with the Underground Construction Manager and Area Construction Managers to maintain the construction critical path and achieve key milestones.
Ensure daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained through the crew leader level.
Review design scope and constructability and provide recommendations for improvement.
Determine workforce requirements and monitor craft mixes to ensure conformance with the construction plan.
Monitor productivity and costs and take corrective actions to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Manage change and scope control, ensuring scope changes are documented and approved before work is performed.
Implement site safety, security procedures, and project work rules.
Support and promote a strong safety culture, making safety an integral part of all work activities.
Manage contractual commitments of above ground contractors, including cost, quality, schedule, and field coordination.
Plan and manage above ground temporary facilities.
Ensure all work meets quality standards defined in project design documents.
Maintain effective equipment utilization and maintenance programs.
Maintain an effective system for the supply and control of tools and materials.
Administer, train, and motivate construction personnel through superintendent and crew leader levels.
Remain knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures; perform duties safely and ensure supervised personnel comply with all established safety requirements.
Manage personnel and support the professional development of staff through training, development opportunities, and timely performance feedback.
Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across business lines, functions, and locations.
Analyze situations, identify and anticipate issues, evaluate options, and implement appropriate solutions.
Organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, meet critical deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
The successful candidate will initially work from the home office for approximately six months before transitioning to the project site.

Active construction site in an operating plant environment
Various levels of environmental conditions include but are not limited to temporary office space; moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; underground mining environments; fumes or airborne particles and; extreme temperatures and high noise levels

Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $138,000.00 - $256,000.00
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
