If you are a second or penultimate year student studying Mining Engineering with a keen interest to work in the mining industry and would like to build a career that’s as rewarding as it is impactful. Our 12-week Summer Vacation Program has been designed to set you up for long-term success. Through hands-on placements, real projects and dedicated support from experienced mentors, you will develop the practical skills and confidence needed to thrive — all while earning as you learn.

What you can look forward to: As a Northern Star Vacation Student, you'll play a key role in supporting our operations by working alongside some of the best mining experts in the industry to gain real, hands-on exposure to your field.

You'll gain practical experience putting your studies into action, with site-based placements available across Open Pit, Underground or Exploration, and the choice between Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) and residential roles across multiple operations.
